Owen is a small town police officer, on his own with more grief than one man should have to deal with: the recent loss of his beloved Anna, nine weeks pregnant, in a freakish accident.
He’s lonely and looking for... something... but never expects what he finds: Laila, taking pictures at night in the fog. But the next morning it feels like a dream. Then he takes a look at the diskettes Laila left with him — and he’s looking at vivid pictures of his wife’s murder.
But taken by whom? And for what reason? Who —or what— is Laila? Is she profoundly good or terrifyingly evil? Is she even real? And what really happened to Anna?
As Owen peers ever more deeply into the fog, he makes discoveries that shock him to his very soul.
