The pampered Lady Jane Willoughby is blessed with wealth, a secure home and a doting father. But even a father’s affection can go too far, and when Jane grows into a spoiled monster everyone can see it except the young lady herself. Raised to believe she can get her way, Jane manages to alienate everyone in her circle, including her cousin Wulfric - the only man with nerve to threaten her with the discipline she deserves. But once Wulfric is out of the picture, Jane continues her stubborn behavior, even to the point of refusing the marriage her loving father tries to carefully arrange for her.

When one of her suitors proves himself to be a cruel and domineering man with ulterior motives, Jane refuses to listen to her father’ s sound advice and vows to marry him anyway. The result is a bloody joust, shattered expectations and the reappearance of the one man who can save her from herself. But will Jane be claimed by the one man who can truly tame her< Or will her headstrong ways lead her to ruin.

This medieval tale offers a king-sized dose of chivalry, spanking and romance that will leave readers breathless for more.

Lady Jane Willoughby is a spoiled brat who her father does not know how to handle. He actually does of course but cannot bring himself to do it as his wife has passed. He is as usual in these instances is a loving, giving too much but discipline father. We see her earlier at age 12 blame a maid for something she herself should have been punished for and enjoy watching her punishment. Her cousin Wulfric Bellford had overheard their conversations and knows Jane is at fault and promises himself to right the wrong. Skip ahead 8 years and Jane is still the same brat though a very beautiful one. Wulfric has returned disguised as a mysterious unknown knight and defeats Lucien Hornsby, a totally evil abuser of women, who only wants Jane\\\’s wealth and the opportunity to break her to his will. Handsome Wulfric has had good fortune overseas through his bravery and is no longer the poor cousin and is worthy of Jane\\\’s hand. He spanks he for her transgression with the maid, which he has not forgotten Her father approves of this but Jane, of course, does not, and runs off to Lucien before she is married. Well suffice to say she quickly discovers the truth about him and her knight must come to her rescue as she, and a maid she has rescued at the expense of her own safety, try to escape Lucien\\\’s clutches. Safe and sound they are married and she is naturally spanked again, but only a good girl one .

Only one spanking but a nice quick romantic read. Wulfric\\\’s not killing Lucien when he should have leaves this open to a sequel naturally. Hopefully with a lot more spankings for the headstrong Lady Jane.

I enjoyed reading this book a lot. I thought at the beginning of the story that I would never be able to like the main character, Lady Jane, but she really changes. That would be due to the teaching of her husband to be! She ends up becoming a very likeable character that you are rooting for!! Enjoyable!

As cute as the savior was supposed to be, I couldn\\\’t get past the cousin connection. If you take that out of the mix, then the story is ok. Not great but ok. I would have liked to see more oomph in the background story.

This was a good book about a young girl who is spoiled and always gets her way. There is only one man who might be able to teach her to be a proper lady but he had to go off to make his fortune. Jane does everything in her power to cause as much trouble and hac=voc as she can. Except when she willfully defies her father and goes after the one man who is cruel and abusive her knight in shining armor is able to save her and make her his once and for all.

This book was enjoyable, but quite short (that seems to be pretty standard). It would be nice to see more full length novels, though I know they do take a lot more time.

  13. Evelyn

Nice quick story about a brat who finally meets her match in Wulfric who not only wont put up with her bad behavior either from the past or the present. Jane of course rebels with disasterous results and has to be saved by her knight in shining armor.

A short easy read, which I enjoyed a lot, as I do with most of Ms. Sullivan\\\’s books. Lady Jane is a spirited young lady who deserves ever single slap she gets from Wulfric. All her actions are so self centered and just plain stupid, I have never felt someone had deserved spankings more than I did her… I only hope that these punishments will help this young lady become a better person.
