DENISE Marrow flunked out of school, lost a job, wrecked her car and her license to drive has been suspended. None of that fazes her much. Young, immature and impetuous she has just begun to realize her life might need a little structure when her parents die. Three younger brothers are left in her care, along with her parents’ estate.

One hitch: To assume control of her brothers, Denise must marry her ex-fiancé. And ANDREW Cross was an ex because he believed marriage worked best with a boss. Him.

Good read, it really opens your eyes to a world that does exist. It makes you see both sides of it. This book leaves you wondering what happens next, it leaves you with so many possibilities and I can\\\’t wait for the next one.

This story has you by your collar from the beginning, it keeps you engaged throughout. The characters that Saorise Roghan has cultivated are complicated showing strength and vulnerabilities. Your emotions may run the gambit of anger to laughing. It has definitely left me wanting more, I really want to know how they proceed.

I was really confused about the characterization of the male lead, Andrew. For a good portion of the story, he just seemed like a jerk and bully. If his character had been developed a bit more, I could have seen him more as the good guy he was trying to be. I alsofelt like I missed a paragraph somewhere. There was no introduction to the rest of his family. Then, poof, they ALL appear out of nowhere at the end. and even more confusing, why dod the little brothers go to Andrew\\\’s dad for help? I understand there must have been some relationship there. But it was still pretty confusing. Even though I had some problems with the story, I liked it overall. And I will buy the next part when it comes out.

This story kept me engaged throughout – in fact I read it in a few hours! The characters had depth and were believable, especially Denise and her brothers. The idea of DD is difficult to comprehend at times and I think that Andrew did a poor job initiating his wife to this lifestyle. He told her several times that he would respect her and listen to her, but the first spanking he gave her was publicly humiliating. It wasn\\\’t for an infraction either – it was just to establish his dominance, which was a bad way to go about things. Even his brother and sister-in-law told him he handled things badly, which he admitted, but he never apologized to Denise about it.I hope in the next installment, there is more real communication between the two of them – and that Denise has the opportunity to tell him how powerless, helpless, and even violated she felt by that public spanking. I know I would have – especially if an older man is getting a hard on watching it! As others have mentioned, there were a few confusing parts, but overall, this was a good story and I am looking forward to reading part 2.

Wow I didn\\\’t want this one to end! Andrew\\\’s heart is in the right place, and this family definitely needs an HOH, but boy the struggle had me on the edge of my seat for all 96 pages. This author is one I\\\’ll be watching for with every update. There were a few typos, but the story was so engaging that I was able to overlook them. I\\\’ll definately come back for more!!

I enjoyed this story because the characters seemed real. The fact that Denise didn\\\’t readily accept a DD relationship (especially considering how she was raised) made complete sense to me. I loved that Andrew realized that he needed help and went to his brother. I can\\\’t wait for more. I would also like to read about Sam and Neil.

This is an interesting story with Andrew and Denise forced to marry after she broke up with him after he tells her they will have a DD marriage. They have many trials and tribulations and maybe they will work it out. Liked all the characters and am looking forwad to the future books.

Denise can\\\’t believe her parents will actually states that she has to marry her ex- fiancé, Andrew in order to get custody of her younger brothers. Denise broke the engagement because he wants to be HoH and she wants nothing to do with it. Either she can accept a DD relationship or he walks away. After some persuading Denise agrees to his terms. She never expected to have him require a pre-nup documenting her consent to this kind of relationship or demand a “physical demonstration of compliance” in front of the attorney. He continues his show of dominance as he tells her to pick a room, his or hers, to make their room, in which she will do all her sleeping and move all of her belongings into. Then all of a sudden, he becomes very wishy-washy and consults his brother for advice. His brother tells him to “step up and quit whining”. But he’s also the one that comes running when Denise’s brother’s think Andrew is abusing her. So kind, caring and compassionate or hard-ass…I hope we find out later in the series.

I want to start out by saying that I do like this story. It\\\’s hard to put down. That being said, this story has so many twists and turns that you end up getting dizzy after a while. To me he comes across as a bit of a bully, especially after the public spanking scene which I just found uncaring and humiliating. I cannot see a real trusting DD relationship developing with him as the HOH. Still, some parts of the book was a real turn on though.

The ending didn\\\’t mesh. Having said that, this writer is talented. Denise needed more spankings and less leniency.

I truly enjoyed this book. Denise reminds me so much of myself and the author really got the mental thoughts and emotions of trying to be a submissive wife down pat. My heart broke for her several times and I even found myself hating her husband, but then I pictured him as my husband and I understood him. My husband disciplines me but he is much more understanding than Andrew. I\\\’m reading the second book now and I real like I know the characters as though we were friends. Excellent book, I highly recommend reading it, especially if you\\\’re in a DD marriage.

I dislike Andrew intensely. He was plain mean. He took advantage of Denise\\\’s love for her family to humiliate and demean Denise. She did what she had to do for love of family. She I adore. She\\\’s way out of her league and yet she\\\’s in their fighting for those she loves. She\\\’s willing to sacrifice her happiness for the brothers. I like her and would like to read more about her. I\\\’m sure she can outgrow Andrew. I just hope Roghan let\\\’s her.

I was very drawn in by this book. I really could not stop reading it. I felt so much concern for Denise (the female lead), as she felt forced into DD. I didn\\\’t love everything the characters did. I found myself annoyed by Denise\\\’s lack of acceptance for DD. However, that lack of acceptance is perfectly understandable. I found myself angry with Andrew (the male lead) for forcing her into DD. On the other hand, he should have a right to marry who he wants and have the lifestyle he chooses. Feeling the need to marry Denise, and having her reject the lifestyle he wants in his life must make him feel lost and frustrated. As you can probably tell, I became very caught up in the characters and their plights. I gave this book 5 stars because it had the ability to really draw me in.

Oh. My. Goodness. SO good!! I didn\\\’t have high hopes, I mean I hoped it would be good because it was reccomended by my favorite blogger, but I often don\\\’t enjoy books by authors I don\\\’t know. THIS WAS SO GOOD!! 😀 I read both books in less than 24 hours, but not because they were short *they were decently long*, but because I couldn\\\’t put them down!! I risked my own behind being reddened by reading at traffic lights while driving! 😉 I LOVED them!! My only complaint is that this book needs a better editor. There were a few words missing and typos. Also, My Man and I wracked our brains and CANNOT figure out a word for dog that starts with FRE. :-p 🙂 Thanks!! Going to review book 2 now!

I just could not get to like the male lead, Andrew. He was too overbearing, and tried to lead a DD type life without having any of the know how on it. It\\\’s like he heard the word spank, and went to town assuming he was an expert. The other thing was a lot of language. It was a good story if you can get past these two things. I really liked Denise, and how she struggled to learn, you really feel for her as she tries to grow, and do what is best for her family, even if it means a hurt heart at times to do so.

Be ready to purchase the second book if you choose to read this book since this book does not end with the last page of this book. This is not one of my favourite stories. The plot was good and I feel that so much more could have been done with the story… The heroin is very bratty (which is good) but I feel the hero is just too indecisive… The only reason I will read the second book is to see if this gets any better, I hate being left hanging.

This is the first of the series. Denise\\\’s parents have died and left a will stating that if she does not marry Andrew her brothers will be parceled out to relatives. This is one of the first books i read, but did not review. I also do not like the ending of the first part of this book, but felt they went back to change it to make it a better ending. I feel for Denise, in so many ways. Her parents are the true screw up\’s here, in more ways than one. Would like to understand more why the Aunts are not acceptable to help raise the kids. I would have also liked it if she would have told the 2 older brothers why she is marrying Andrew. That might help make things easier. What Andrew did to her in the pre-nup was so mean and spiteful. I would hate him, too. I understand that she is young, but she needs to grow up quick and get herself together. First thing, get her license back, find out what she needs to finish college and get her diploma. Find out what the 2 oldest brothers like to do and help them with their lives. Andrew is so out of his element here. He needs to sit back, watch and then maybe start over. She is so afraid of him, has no respect for him and i think hates him, that it\’s going to be a long road to haul. Would love to read more about the Cross clan. Discover all the brothers. Lastly, if you buy this book, get the second one at the same time, you\’ll be glad you did.
