I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved how the author wrote both Mylie and Kevin as very flawed human beings who have amazing hearts. The author has developed many complex characters and relationships though out this book that are just a joy to read about. The author has such a way of drawing the reader into the book, that I found myself even having a soft spot for the “bad” guys. This is the first full length book by this author that I have read – and it definitely will not be the last. It is an absolutely wonderful book that I would recommend as a must read.

I adored this page turner that kept me reading from start to finish. The storyline is realistic, well thought out, and wonderfully written. The author uses the well developed characters of Kevin and Mylie to show the high school couple that broke up due to a misunderstanding finding their way back to each other. They must face many hard choices, challenges, and truths about themselves and what they want for their futures. The author also uses the surrounding characters of Jeremy, Harry, Jessica, and Derek to further enhance the storyline and emotions brought about through out the entire book. This amazing story includes a lot of love, sex, spankings, emotionally charged reactions and fights, along with reconciliations, forgiveness, and realistically moving forward while taking charge of their lives. I highly, highly, recommend reading this book and can only hope this author will write a continuation of these characters and their lives. Way to go!!!

I couldn\’t put this one down. I love how \”real\” Kevin and Mylie are. The story is well written and thought out. I was able to relate to Mylie and her insecurities about Kevin and whether or not he wanted her. Kevin\’s anger towards Mylie is understandable as well.

    Well written and Entertaining

When an author writes a book that has flawed characters, it is my opinion that the readers will be able to relate more easily to the characters. Combined with the theme, style, pace, and conflicts make it hard to put down the book. You want to keep reading and hate when the book ends. Wishfully waiting until the author writes another book.

Another wonderful, full length, book from Dulcie Taylor. This new story could best be summed up as a “Failure to Communicate”. All of the characters, both protagonists and antagonists, choose to interpret what the other characters are thinking/saying/doing rather than discuss with them in a straight forward and honest manner. This interpretive approach always leads to angst, frustration, and insecurities, and ultimately creates all of the wonderful scenes that make this book so realistic, believable, and hard to put down. Kevin’s spankings of Mylie, even back in their early teen years, are disciplinary in nature but in a very loving and nurturing way. Their relationship issues through the years, and the events between their initial breakup and later make-up, are revealed in a fast paced and realistic way. The sex, when they finally reach that critical point, is hot but not overly graphic. For lovers of in depth relationships coupled with some spankings and sex, this is a book not to be missed.

Wow! That is my first reaction upon finishing this book!! I went through so many changing emotions while reading this book, even I can\’t believe it! First of all, I felt so deeply for Mylie and all of the pain she suffered, but I was shocked by some of the decisions she made after the horrendous discovery of her husband and best friend\’s betrayal! Thank goodness for Kevin! He was there for Mylie, even though he was being dragged through the mud in his own life!! The two make it through their tough times, but I also needed to make it through the sadness, anger, rage, happiness, and joy that they made me feel as they found each other and forgave and learned to love and trust! See why I started with Wow?!!

  13. Good bedtime reading

This is a story with a difference. As Mylie finds her husband Jeremy in bed with her best friend Harry, an affair hat they\’ve been using her to cover since high school. She storms away intent on remaking herself into a more confident persona and experience what her staid life has to offer. Her first foray into a bar brings her into contact with a lost love also from high school and with a bad reputation. Kevin is also going through an acrimonious divorce with unwanted publicity from his wife. Through this mix of relationships, Kevin tries to keep Mylie from making disastrous mistakes often ending over Kevin\’s knee for discipline as well as the growing re-ignitement of their love.

This is more of a domestic discipline book than anything else. Kevin and Mylie were teenage sweethearts who broke up over a misunderstanding and then both went on to have terrible marriages. They meet up again when Mylie goes wild after finding out her husband has been cheating on her with her best friend. There are discipline spankings, but they are given with love. They have a HEA and it is a joy to read the journey there. I give this 5 stars.

  17. Redrabbitt

I was so caught up in this emotional story and how one lie leads to a domino effect of destruction. Two high school sweethearts at their prom and a supposed friend will tell a lie to cover up a secret and in that one night, lives are altered and nearly destroyed. Reading this story will take the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride, from happiness to anguish, loss, betrayal, confusion, blame, bitterness and will set people on a downward spiral of reckless behavior. With some of the people that are so-called friends, you sure don\’t need enemies.
The plot and characters intertwine in this story, and you feel like a voyeur watching their lives, secrets, heartaches and dreams unfold. Mylie\’s life has been on demand of those around her, and she has become a puppet who allows them to pull the strings. Can make amends for the heartache of the past? Walking into the sports bar that belongs to the only man she every loved was a fluke, but may be what saves her life. Kevin\’s divorce and bad boy reputation are headline news, and the last thing he needs is someone to add to the sensationalism. Can you repair the damage that has haunted you for over twelve years? Are second chances in the cards for Mylie and Kevin or will they just destroy each other again? Someone you think is your enemy, in the end, may be your savior.

This book is exceptionally well written. The two main characters Mylie and Kevin, have a past and this story tells of there rather tortuous journey to a future. The plot is very well developed and the characters well rounded and charismatic. The reader is able to identify with the characters as they are truly human with faults and foibles, just like the readers. The story flows very well with rich descriptions of unfolding scenarios and characters. A well warranted and rare five stars from this appreciative reader
