Really enjoy historical spanking cowboy books and this has all the right ingredients for a great book. An alpha Marshall finds a young woman lost, hungry and wearing rags running from an abusive aggressive husband.

This book offers a great story set in the old west, which I love. Missy has had a rough life but things take a pleasant change when she meets the Marshal. Their romance blooms and the unconventional circumstances make for a fun ride. Nicely done!!

Good story had the ability to be more ….
.felt like it was missing a few chapters in the detail…building relationship and Ex….ending giving more details of what happened.

I enjoyed this story. Missy get’s real lucky second time around. Pure fluke. She is rescued by a strong, loving, caring man and it was fun to follow Missy’s mistakes one after the other with the Marshall being her protector and corrector having to fix each mess she created. It was fun.

I enjoyed this western. It was a quick read. Poor Missy (aka Elizabeth) is trying to make a better life for herself and for her baby. Luckily she meets Grover, the town marshal. I totally felt her anguish, desperation, and hope. It was nice to have a cameo of Carter and Ana, too. On a related note, I like how the author incorporates the symbolism of Missy/Elizabeth’s brooch throughout the story.

An engaging story and much better developed than the first one in this series. Missy was wonderfully written – I could feel her fear and turmoil. Grover (The name just didn’t fit the marshall for me!) was a very much in-charge type of man. I enjoyed their interactions and the adventure of the story, but I think more time could have been spent developing their relationship. Missy had been severely abused – I would think she would be much more hesitant about trusting Grover and accepting discipline. I also felt a bit let down at the end – we never get to see what happened between Grover and Nathan. Good new writer – just needs to develop plot and characters a bit more.

This was an enjoyable short story. An abused woman gets her opportunity to escape an to come upon a territory marshal, a man of the law and she was wanted. What is a woman to do, especially with a baby?
Well, this marshal offered a solution, he would marry her and raise her baby as his own. They could get away with it, couldn’t they? Well, it turns out there is one person in town who could prevent them from their happily every after. This person would bring trouble to them and the question becomes who would survive?
This is a sweet love story, for someone, Missy, who had never had someone love her and treat her with the respect she deserves. There were some twists and turns that kept you guessing. Overall, a great novella.

Missy Meets The Marshal by Amelia Smarts was a fun read in western romance. While it was a little short and could have been expanded I enjoyed seeing the love grow between Grover and Missy. Missy was in need of a strong man to guide her and protect her from past bad decisions. She found out that strong alpha males, such as Grover, have their own distinct way of helping a woman. Not only did Grover help her find her way in life; but also, over his knee for a good old fashioned spanking given with love. He proves to Missy that some men can be trusted and depended on for strength, guidance, understanding, and above all love no matter how bad life gets. Overall, this was a great read and I recommend relaxing and enjoying this wonderful story by Amelia Smarts. Way to go!

This is a new author to me and I found this book to be enjoyable. Although I found the relationship between ???Missy?? and Grover to develop much too quickly for me (given the abuse she sustained from her husband) I quickly became invested in both of the main characters. I did not find any of the spankings delivered by Grover too harsh and the author painted a wonderful picture of love between them. Although not one of my favorite authors based upon this book, I would read another book by this author.

I enjoyed reading the story about Missy and the Marshal. It was a hard life she lead up too until she had been accused of stealing, and up in the marshal’s office. But for some reason he believed her she did not steal, but was lying about something. There are some tear jerking moments in the story, but it shows with love and discipline, you can be forgiven for stuff you did because of someone forcing you too. I was give this story for a honest review and I was glad that I read the story.

Delightful Western story. It had such a great storyline that I wanted it to be longer. There is mystery, suspense, some violence, a strong man, a young woman who has a good sweet heart but tends to make poor choices however she is greatly loved and cherished and spanked, especially when making the wrong choice.

I enjoyed this fun western, with a bit of mystery and suspense. My heart breaks for Elizabeth aka Missy and what all she endures her entire life and can understand her flight to try and have freedom. Marshall Grover Huntley has seen much in his years, the good, the bad and the ugly. He can recognize lies and he can also see that sometimes the law has its gray area. The plot kept me captivated and the pages turning as the mystery unfolds. I found the dialog to be open and heartwarming with a man who believes in honesty and a penalty for lying. This is a time when dominant men believed in spanking naughty women.
