Her Russian Protector

(10 customer reviews)

Meli is a young woman trying to make her way in the world. Estranged from her fiancé, David, she finds herself agreeing to make a spontaneous trip to St. Petersburg, Russia. Her friend, Abby, assures her that she not only deserves the trip, she will have the time of her life. And that might have been true except for the fact that the two walked into the wrong nightclub. Meli is kidnapped and soon caught up in the workings of the Russian underground. It appears she has something extremely valuable to offer the Russian kingpin’s son; her virginity.

Drugged and unable to comprehend what is happening, Meli is rescued by an unlikely Russian ex-con, Viktor. Viktor isn’t sure why he is risking his life by betraying his boss and his boss’s sadistic son, Alexei—all he knows is that he can’t deny his desire to help the lovely, foreign woman.

The two must finagle the wide-strung web of illicit and illegal activities of the Russian mafia. Will they manage to survive when Alexi gathers his men to find and reclaim the American girl he is determined to own? Will Viktor not only be able to keep Meli safe from the horror awaiting her, but will he manage to win her heart as well? Will Meli discover that the safe, boring life promised by the man she thought she was so in love with is not the life she really desires?

This book contains explicit erotic material as well as spanking and anal play. If this offends you, please do not purchase.

I found this book to be very hard going! It does not flow well. The writing is choppy and copied. I was happy to finish it. But the characters are well described. There are a lot of sex scenes but uncomfortable described. Meli is a chubby pretty girl who is dragged to Russia by her best friend. She has very little confidence in herself and no support, not that she knows it! Try it! You might like it!!

Over all the story was enjoyable to read, I just had a hard time connecting to Mali, but found her a little flighty for my taste, not so much submissive. But I did totally enjoyed Viktor he was your true Russian bad boy.
I was given this story to read for a honest review.

The concept of this story was fascinating, but the delivery was cold. It felt emotionless as the story was told but not felt. Alexei was the character who felt the most real. His coldhearted, self- absorbed personality was felt in everything he did. Meli, quite frankly, just irritated me with her lack of a spine. It’s a shame because, as I said, the story concept was so good.

The word guardian in the title drew me in as I pictured a fiery confrontational relationship with true underlying warm feelings between the main characters. In the beginning, I struggled to determine who the main characters would be. The story had many promising moments, but I never quite felt Meli connect with anyone. There were some exciting moments in the story, but not enough building of a relationship. Just having a fiancé in the background was a bit strange.
