What I really loved about this book was it made me think. It raises the question about the line between consent and abuse, and beautifully illustrates the difference. The story was well-written and fast moving, I loved the banter between Eric and Holly, and Megan\’s warts and all approach to developing the characters. My only regret is it wasn\’t longer, but I see a lot of potential for developing this into a series. Five stars.

This is a short novella about Eric and Holly. They have a D/d relationship and it works for them. Even though Holly has a love/hate relationship with spanking, it makes her feel loved and protected. Eric needs this kind of relationship as well. When they find out that his brother and his girlfriend think that Eric is abusive, it rocks Eric’s world. But, eventually Holly gets through to him and there is an HEA. I enjoyed this story, it helps explain the basics of a D/d relationship, I would guess. I give this 4 stars.

The great opening captured my imagination and sucked me into this heart warming romance where Holly and Eric work to redefine the structure of their DD relationship. The characters are original and well developed. I especially enjoyed Holly’s true thoughts and witty humor about how she really feels about Eric paddling her bare bottom.

I found this book unusual in that it really explored the idea that a DD relationship, by nature, is consensual. Both sides have to receiving what they want & need for it to be an effective & strong relationship. Really enjoyed this story.

It is a very real well written story. One of the best things about this book is that it is a love story between two regular characters and how they overcome their problems by relying on each other. It is something that could definitely happen in real life! I don\’t usually like stories in first person, however in this case it gives a depths to the characters that could not have been achieved another way. It was an enjoyable read and very informative of the DD lifestyle.

  11. Redrabbitt

I enjoyed this very well written domestic discipline story of two people, in a loving, committed marriage, who have chosen to live a DD lifestyle. It is a mutual total, complete, trust issue that goes both ways. But what happens when someone close to them always acts afraid and even goes as far as to feel that it is abuse? Two people who are in a safe, sane, and consensual relationship need to remember what is important to them and not others. Holly and Eric have great chemistry, totally in love with each other, and crave their DD lifestyle. When interference happens, doubt and confusion and misunderstandings cause serious hurt and damage their bond. The plot is a great reminder that what works with one couple will not be the same for another. As with any relationship, and open and honest dialog is always essential towards a happy home.
