(Note:  This story was originally published on Bethany’s Woodshed in 2009 as “Long Arm of the Law.”)

Fifteen years ago, Griff and Bay were a couple.   Everyone said they were perfect for each other, including themselves.  Griff knew just what Bay needed, if it wasn’t what she always wanted.  Hard, long bare bottom discipline, mixed with a generous dose of love and tenderness.  They would never be apart.

Except real life doesn’t always work out that way, and one day the couple that could never disagree didn’t see eye to eye.  Griff walked out, and Bay didn’t call back.  Several months later, Bay left town for another life, a new career.  She left small town Maine, and Griff Margolis, in her past.

Fifteen years later, Bay is back, needing to tie up lose ends after her father’s death, and Griff is now the local sheriff.  She’s never married, nor has he.  That doesn’t mean anything, does it?

Bay finds out the hard way that the intervening years haven’t changed Griff at all.  He’s still has big and sexy and stubborn as ever.  And she finds she hasn’t changed either:  she still loves him and wants him as much as she ever did.  Can “home for the holidays” translated into a Christmas miracle for Griff and Bay?

Griff and Bay were engaged and have been estranged for many years. Griff is determined she won\\\’t get away again. Good story as most of Carolyn Faulkner\\\’s are. I will read it again.

  3. BH

The past and present relationship between Bay and Griff is covered completely in this Christmas story. Griff believes in using a strong hand whenever he fells Bay needs it. I enjoyed the love story tat developed between these two characters, hopefully they learned from previous mistakes and have a happily ever after this time.

This story is a complete recounting of the main characters relationship … it includes their physical and emotional dealings. Things come to a crux when ethics meets compassion, and neither person can compromise. Great story.

This was ok but not my favorite. Mostly because for 15 years these two didn\\\’t communicate and then everything turned around in a split second.

This is definitly one of Carolyn Faulkner\\\’s softer romances but a still really good. The two main characters don\\\’t see eye to eye and lose each other for fifteen years. But when they see each other again it is like no time has passed and they discover that they are still meant for each other.

I love story of couples coming back together and this was a great one. Griff was a great character and showed remorse for his actions, which I liked.

This was a great story about a couple who when they were younger everyone including them thought they would never break up but due to a disagreement they lost fifteen years. When Bay returns home she finds nothing has changed about Griff except that he is sorry about how he handled the situatipn in the past and wants to make ammends. Bay still loves him just as much as before and the same goes for Griff. It was great to see how these two characters came back together and finally got their HEA.

Carolyn Faulkner at her best, yet again. Lots of love, lust and spanking! The ending seems a little rushed for me so I went with four stars.

Griff and Bay have a past. They were together 15 years ago and, because of a misunderstanding, Bay left town. Now she is home and they are getting back together. This is about how they get back together and all the spankings that occur.

CF book with lots of good parts. Really enjoyed this, though the reason why they separate is so stupid, I just wanted to slap him. But definitely one I will be rereading in the future.

Bay wanted a strong man and she got one but when her family\\\’s needs seemed to clash with Griff\\\’s strong convictions that seemed to be the end of the relationship. When she returns 15 years later it takes a lot of convincing to getting them back together. I liked the story but hit didn\\\’t quite have the impact that other C. Faulkner books I\\\’ve read had. I think maybe a epilogue or more wrap up chapter would have make the story seem more finished for me.

Always enjoy this auther and this story I like. Its about two people who had a future together fifteen years ago. Had a bit of a tiff , she left the area . Fast forward to the present time and she comes back . Meets up with him again , he shows that he is sorry and they are on again . Some good scenes , a fairly good story line with a happy ending.

Great read about a couple having a disagreement and parting, then coming back together again. To bad they wasted fifteen years though.

I very much enjoyed this book. The story is quite romantic as a couple that was together years earlier came back together to make it work. Griff and Bay are great characters.

Good read. I liked reading about the development of their relationship. However, I\\\’m not so sure about how quickly they became engaged again after such a long time apart. It seems a little improbable.

I love Carolyn Faulkner\’s books and this is a great romantic story with a fun heroine and a sexy hero. I would have given it five stars except that I\’m developing more and more of a problem with the idea that a normal, intelligent woman would want a partner would treats her like an old fashioned father would have treated a child. An adult should be able to take responsibility for jer own actions & not need a \’daddy\’ figure to lay down the law. Alpha type men are sexy but can\’t this be combined with mutual respect and decision-making?
