Description

Jennie had fallen in love with Sheriff Daniel Braddock the night they’d first met at her parents’ party. He’d been back in Boston to see his parents, but not planning to stay. His life was in frontier Kansas now and he swore he would never come back here again. She didn’t want him to leave; he couldn’t stay. But they’d decided to marry, in spite of their differences, in spite of both their families being against it. All she knew was that she wanted him…and she would find a way to convince him to move back to Boston.

He’d married Jennie in a spell of craziness. She was from the life he’d left behind and would never return to. Their marriage would never work. She was pampered and spoiled. She would never make a frontier wife. So he’d left her behind with her parents, telling her he would come back for her, certain she would come to her senses first. And then she came to find him…

Daniel couldn’t let her stay, but he couldn’t let her go either. But he damn sure wasn’t going to let her think she could manipulate him. A good man understood the importance of keeping his woman in line, loving her, too, but definitely applying his hand to her butt when needed. Jennie loved a challenge, loved her stubborn husband. But did they love each other enough?

This couple rushed into marriage and the story is really about their struggle to get to know each other. If they\\\’d take a bit of time to talk to each other things would go more smoothly… and if Daniel\\\’s brothers could leave them alone. All in all it was a good book and an enjoyable read.

Great start to a series with some seriously great charaters to work with. The heroine is no pushover and and her hero takes some convincing but he turns out to be a wonderful man. Looking foward to reading about all the other brothers.

Enjoyed this historical western spanking romance. Jennie and Daniel marry when he is visiting in the east. He doesn\\\’t believe she can adapt to life in the west, but Jennie plans to convince him to return home with her. Jennie is a strong woman and like other reviewers, I found Daniel to be a bit selfish, although probably true to character for men in that time period. Great spanking scenes and a happy endings. I\\\’ll be watching for more in this series.

This was one of the best spanking books I\\\’ve ever read. Full of rich romance and the danger was not severe and the danger was not against the heroine, but against the hero, which was a pleasant change. The spankings scenes were just perfect and not too many of them. A really great book. Great hero and heroine, too.

This was a good book and I will enjoy reading more about the Braddock Borthers. This story is about a couple who marry and need to come to terms to why they married, and how much they love each other rather than trying to change each other to what they want in life. Evenually they both realize how much they do love each other even though they are willing to risk to change for the other…they then realize what they both want and that is just each other. Good ending and her next books on this family should be good. cara

I adore Jennie. She is strong, feisty, knows what she wants and goes after it regardless of who tries to stop her. Daniel, however, was a weak minded, shallow, easily manipulated baby. Jennie was honest and upfront. Daniel never believed no matter how many times he made a fool of himself. When faced with Jennie\\\’s truth and the prejudice he knew his brother had, he sided against Jennie. There are many good characters in this story that I hope turn out better than Daniel. I\\\’d like to have Jennie find someone who is worthy of her.

Starla does a great job introducing each of the characters and showing them grow.. there\’s not a lot of spanking but its enough to make it a great spanking love story

The novel is enjoyable to read and I like the plot, although I would have preferred a more detailed description of various events. Finally, Daniel\\\’s character seems a little selfish, to think over his own desires and his wife Jennie, only at the end he would be willing to return to Boston for her.

What can I say about Starla Kaye\\\’s cowboys. This was truly an old fashioned cowboy story taking place in 1879. On a trip to Boston Daniel falls in love and marries Jennie. She comes west by herself instead of waiting for Daniel to come for her and thus begins their learning to deal with one another. Great story, fantastic characters and I can\\\’t wait for the rest of the brother\\\’s stories.

This historical started out very strongly – Daniel waiting on his headstrong bride. I really liked Jennie…she was strong, determined, and tried very hard to fit in and make herself important to Daniel and his family. I was very disappointed in Daniel though. Throughout the story, he doubted Jennie’s abilities and even at the end, he thought she left him. He was too stubborn and pigheaded to listen to an explanation of why she went home. I really didn’t agree with the last spanking he gave her. All for embarrassing him! His character just didn’t grow until the last half of the final chapter. I hope the next installments show the other brothers to be more understanding, loving men and much less selfish!

Daniel was back east and got married to Jennie now that its time for her to arrive he has a lot of worries about how she will adapt to the harsh life of the west. There are lots of ups and downs as they try to adjust to each other during trouble with outlaws. I love how when push comes to shove Jennie is a strong woman in her own right and it\\\’s clear that Daniel really loves her.

Another great story with an alpha cowboy as the hero. This one is even better in my opinion because it is a historical novel with a strong female heroine. Even though they have their ups adn downs it was fun to watch their relationship develop. Looking foward to the rest of this series.
