Clean romance and well written. Abraham is a lost soul, and Sarah is cheerful, great cook, and a Godly woman. She encourages him to get out, and be more social, so he dates a friend. A believable story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

What a beautiful story that once I started reading, I couldn%u2019t put the book down. It was a moving, refreshing, and heartfelt tales that was full of emotions. This is a clean Mennonite story of two people, both raised in the same faith, finding one another. One is lost and despondent, the other uses her faith and trust, lifting him up in prayers and helps him find his way back.

Sarah Elizabeth Miller has come to the city to temporarily fill in for her friend, Jenny, who is a housekeeper for the Johnson family. But Jenny is due back, and Sarah Elizabeth must make a decision, find a new position or return to her family. The timing is perfect when she is approached by Louis Johnson about another housekeeping position for his business partner, Abraham Miller.

The plot will bring Sarah and Abraham together in an employee-employer relationship when she will become his housekeeper. Abe has let things go since the death of his wife, Lynette, and he knows that can%u2019t continue. With a new business contract for their company, Mijo, he will often be traveling too. While he has kept his former life a secret, not even sharing it with his partner or his late wife, he will confide in Sarah that he was also raised Mennonite, but as soon as graduation, he left and had never returned to his family. With the death of Lynette, he has lost his way, his faith, and blames God for taking her.

Sarah never judges, or pushes, but is honest in her speech and makes offers for prayer and invites him to church. Her steadfast principles never waiver, and Abe notices. They develop a friendship, but each is also starting to develop feelings, ones they think they must keep hidden, but can they really do that? While one door was closed, God has opened up a new window.

The story is a journey of anger, loss, forgiveness, and redemption as Abe finally decides to live again and move forward with life without Lynette. He and Sarah have a friendship relationship that is changing to romantic feelings, but how will they handle it? Will Abe be able to mend the twenty-year riff with his family? Is there a future for them?

The story includes an emotional roller coaster ride of accepting what has happened, and healing by getting rid of the bitterness and opening back up to God. It includes healing with family and finding happiness again. It is a sweet, clean love story that includes God and a future. There will be trials along the way that help cement their relationship and faith.

What a well written, clean, and sweet love story! I loved the characters as Sarah is strong in her Mennonite faith, while Abraham has distanced from his faith and family years ago and now has suffered a deep personal loss. The storyline is filled with loss, heartache, loneliness but yet also has faith, hope, compassion, understanding, and inspiration. The author takes her readers on a journey from grief through reopening the heart to move forward to a future filled with friendship, love, family, and a happier life through faith. Although I would have liked more conflict during the journey, the story does include a heart stopping moment. Overall, I highly recommend this inspirational love story for a great read! I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Abe has lost his compass – to his faith, his family, his heart.?? When Sarah, a young Mennonite woman, comes to work for him in his home, he finds himself torn.? She is proud of her faith, family and community.? As she discovers his secret, will she be able to resist the desire to heal him?? A sweet love story

This is a clean romance of a relationship that comes after loss. Abe’s wife had died & he is stuck in his grief. It’s at this point that he meets Sarah Elizabeth. This was a very touching story but will not be to everyone’s tastes. There is a strong Christian storyline which was fine for me & the near end did get a bit mystical. Overall though, I really enjoyed it as a lovely change of pace.
