Overview

When Detective Jane Buckman heads to isolated Shadow Island to investigate the anonymously reported disappearance of a young girl, she knows right away that something is very, very wrong.

The island seems idyllic. The residents are proud of their agrarian culture and self-sufficiency. But their old-fashioned practices extend beyond farming. The island's culture is not only pagan, but nearly everywhere Jane looks, she sees men spanking their women. For a progressive lady detective, the notion of the island's strong men turning their sexy wives and girlfriends over their knees for hard spankings is repulsive.

Or is it? As the mystery unravels, so does Jane's resolve to object to the spanking. And even as she gets closer to cracking the case of the island's pagan ways that she suspects may include a human sacrifice. Only too late does she realize why she's really on Shadow Island, and the punishment that awaits her.

This wickedly clever parody of the classic "Wicker Man" is sure to delight spanking enthusiasts and fans of the original work.

I didn\\\'t care for this story as it mostly revolved around detective Jane Buckman running around the island spying on women getting spanked. The story line was minimal and confusing. It had no romance and not much for strong men either.

I really didn\\\'t like it as much as I could have. It had a lot of couples getting spanked that is true. I know it is supposed to be a parody of Wicker Man, and I didn\\\'t read that so not sure if it does it or not. I guess I wondered where the book was going as the heroine ran around the island trying to find clues and discovering spankings. (Which she always said were beatings).&newline&Parts of the ending concept was hot...but seemed rushed and not sure it was believeable....It was indeed a different take. As I said, It was a longer read and had a plot, but not my all time favorite.

I didn\\\'t care for this book and can\\\'t see myself reading it again. It\\\'s true there are lots of spankings and a little bit of a story but it was barely enjoyable.
