Overview

The true treasure in life is the love we share…

What happens when two people, both from different countries, different stations in life, different in every way are thrown together by circumstance? If they are Gabriel Vasquez and Lady Juliette Gardner, magic happens. They both had dreams of building a life, a better life in their chosen land. Gabe dreams of making his mine, the Corazon de Oro, be one of the most successful mines of California’s gold rush. Jewel dreams of building a place where women no longer need to feel as if they have no hope of a future. As they fall in love and combine their dreams, they build The Red Petticoat Saloon in the small town of Culpepper Cove.

Many gems have come and gone, many have stayed and yet all became not only gems but members of a family—a diverse family—a family that will encourage you to follow your dreams. A family that laughs and cries together, one where members offer a shoulder to cry on or, if you happen to be a feisty cook named Nettie, a tap of her infamous wooden spoon against your backside.

Though her dream has come true, Jewel continues to wonder what has the man who has stolen her heart so unbending when it comes to extracting a price when she or one of their gems steps out of line. He never hesitates to remind the women under his roof that the price of breaking rules that are meant to keep them safe is a hot, aching behind.

What has driven this loving man to risk his life for what most of society consider as fallen women? What secrets hide behind those incredible, chocolate colored eyes? Why is he so reluctant to share his past, to talk about his family that he left behind in his native country? Why can’t a man Jewel knows has given her his heart and soul, give her these answers?

On the day their mine, Corazon de Oro, reveals its heart, Gabe discovers that there are more important things than any amount of gold. Jewel’s love and desire to make the world a better place touch his soul—all the treasure he’ll ever need is found in the arms of his golden girl.

Gabe’s Golden Girl is the last book in the bestselling series, The Red Petticoat Saloon.

Gabe’s is so hot

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. The last of the Red Petticoat series. 'sigh' This series has been so good. If you have not read any of these books, I encourage you to start. This book continues the story of Gabriel and Jewel and closes out the stories of the gems. Delicious sex and spanking. Gabriel is so hot, he burns up the page.

Marvelous Love Story

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I have mixed emotions about this book. It's a fabulous book but the last in the series. The gifted author, Maggie Ryan, started this series and finished the series with this book. This is Gabe's and Jewel's story. Gabe is the protective man who takes care of all the Jewels and Madam Jewel is the nurturing mother to the ladies and lover of Gabe. Exciting happenings at The Red Petticoat Saloon and all the ladies that Jewel helped returned. The relationship between Gabe and Lady Juliette (Madam Jewel) becomes closer as they learn more about each other. There is a lot of eyeglass melting erotic sex, lots of spanking, fast paced and a page turner with witty dialogue and humor, unexpected twists and turns, I will be sad to see the end of this series but at some point I'll start from the beginning and read all the books again.

Ohhh...

Love, love, love this! I’m either realizing I lived in this time period, or I just wish I had. Every one of these Petticoat books are special. This one revisits Gabe and Jewel in a more personal way, with all of our old friends in the mix. This has it all. Love, laughter, murder, and not one, but two weddings. I love Moses and Nettie, btw…and hope they have their own tale soon! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book….and wish I could forget it, to read it all again!!

SHE HAS MY HEART AND MY SOUL

As a book series junkie, I have enjoyed every single one of the Red Petticoat Saloon books. It is with mixed emotions that we will see the last “the end” with this being the final book in the series. Having read all of them, I agree it ended perfectly! As with all the stories in this series, they each read as a standalone and as a collective, they each compliment the others. I feel like we were voyeurs into the lives of the Jewel, Gabe, Nettie, the Gems and those who call Culpepper Cove, California home.

From England to New Orleans, to Culpepper Cove, California, Jewel and Gabe were destined to be together. The joined forces as partners in the Corazon de Oro, a gold mine and then jointly in The Red Petticoat Saloon, making the lives of others better. There are some pleasant surprises in store for a few main characters that have been a huge part of these series.

Separation makes the heart grow fonder, and when Gabe and John go to San Fransisco with their significant find of mined gold, they each realize that their special ladies back in Culpepper Cove held more than just a spot in their lives, they held their heart and soul, an extension of themselves.

We learn more of what happened in Gabe’s life before leaving Mexico and coming to California. Healing comes in many ways and family connection is part of the healing. This has been a series full of emotions, healing, saying goodbye to the past, saying hello to new beginnings and looking forward to the future.
