Overview

Alice Cavanaugh learned early that the only person she could count on was herself. As a single mom, she works hard to provide the best life possible for her son Charlie, and to earn the respect of those around her. She might take part in a scene at The Club, but she's way too busy to be anyone's full-time submissive. And that's fine with her, since the one dominant she's fantasized about submitting to has given her nothing but mixed-signals and heartache… until now.

Alexander "Slay" Slater, a former Marine and Dungeon Master at The Club, has been eyeing Alice for a while now… from a distance. But now that he's set his sights on her, he's all in. He will make her feel safe and cared for, and attend to her every need—including taking her over his knee for a sound spanking when she needs it.

But when Alice and Slay are roped into a dangerous entanglement with an insidious drug cartel, their relationship is put to the test. Can Alice trust Slay, even when it means ignoring her own fears and instincts? Can Slay keep Alice safe from the dangers that they face? Above all, can they overcome the obstacles that keep them apart—so that Slay can become Alice's Daddy, and Alice… his babygirl?

IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS: DO YOU TRUST ME?

I enjoyed this fourth story in the Boston Dom series. Each book has people from previous stories, and we learn a bit more about what is going on in their lives, but this story focuses on Alexander “Slay” Slater and Alice Cavanaugh.

Alice is a single mother of a six-year-old boy named Charlie, raising him on her own without support from her high school sweetheart, and Charlie’s father. She works several jobs, including at The Club tending bar where Slay is a Dungeon Master and bouncer. She has feelings for Slay, but he has pushed her away, hurt her feelings and she has decided, she would do whatever she wants, she doesn’t answer to him. Slay has been bidding his time, but when he sees
Alice outside the club smoking, he decides it is time to take action. Their relationship is going to take a new twist.

Slay has secrets, ones that he can’t share with her, ones that are part of an undercover sting and he is trying to keep her safe. There are other people involved, Marines he served with, part of a security detail, and some people appear to be of the criminal nature. As Slay and Alice become involved, he keeps asking her to trust him, but it is something she is struggling with. As with all D/s relationship, submitting and trusting are always so much easier in theory.

Slay and Alice have a Daddy Dom/little girl relationship. He wants her to trust him, call him Daddy and allow him to take care of her and know what is best. “You’re my babygirl. And Daddies always give their babygirls what they need.” Things will become a life and death dangerous situation, and it will be Charlie, Alice’s son, who proves to be a hero. Don’t judge a person by their size or looks, because looks can be deceiving, and eventually, others will see that it isn’t what you see on the outside, but what is inside a person’s heart and soul. There are plenty of discipline scenes and explicit sex scenes. We are left with some news, and I look forward to the next book in their series.

Another Fabulous Boston Doms

This was a fantastic Domestic discipline, BDSM, Age-Play action packed and a page turner that I had to read it in front of a fan as my heart was pounding. These two gifted authors are great by them selves but they make a fabulous team and their books are wonderful. The storyline was intense and closely examined the thoughts, feelings and emotions of the characters. There were some unexpected twists and turns. It was a awesome read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy.

Love A Daddy Dom!

I love a good Daddy Dom book and this was a great one. Slay has waited to find the girl who could handle him and his desires to be Daddy. He is over the top in control, protectiveness, and love with Alice and her son. At times, I found him to be kind of harsh with her though and questioned if Alice should stay. He would do anything for this little family to keep them safe physically and emotionally.
I shouldn't have worried about Alice though. I loved her strength and ability to speak her needs. She may be a submissive but was not afraid to call Slay out on issues in the relationship and what a Dom meant to her. It really caught Slay off-guard and made him think. I was easily wrapped up in Alice's emotions and feelings in this book.
We get to be caught up with previous characters from this series as they interact with Slay and Alice. The group really is an extended family to one another and it clearly shows in the writing. Another hit for these authors in the Boston Doms series!

Boston Doms--Better & better!

Each of the Boston Doms books us better than the last. After watching Alice for some time, Slay has made his decision and is ready to claim his babygirl. Alice has a lot on her plate as a single mom, but she has submissive needs that are not really being fulfilled. When Slay shows her that he is interested, Alice thinks that it's just for one night because Slay had rebuffed her earlier interest in him. What's more, Slay makes her call him Daddy--was she even looking for a Daddy Dom? This story unfolds with dominance, danger, and disobedience and characters that are much more than want they seem.
