Overview

Morgan King is a twenty-three-year-old virgin who has never had a proper boyfriend. The fussy young woman longs to meet a man who will be everything like the heroes in the spanking romance novels she loves to read. When such a man comes along, Morgan is sure that he must be too good to be true. Although they’ve had a great online relationship for months, she balks at actually meeting him.

Jackson Brooks is a twenty-nine-year-old middle school teacher who works at his family’s summer camp. When he gets to know Morgan on the Internet, he is sure she’s the girl for him. They are both ready to settle down, and he doesn’t understand why she is so hesitant to meet him in person. When he discovers that she has sent him a fake photo, he is not happy. He can’t deal with it right away, however, because summer camp is about to begin, and this year, he’s the director. He decides to give Morgan some space while he does what he has to.

Morgan is devastated when she realizes she has probably blown things with Jackson. She is desperate, and hatches a plan to get to know him secretly. She books herself into Sunnyvale Summer Camp under the name of Alyssa King, using her sister’s birth certificate. Instead of assuring herself that nothing could possibly go wrong, she should have been asking herself what would happen when Jackson discovered her deceit. Will he be so angry that he sends her away, or will he choose another method of showing his displeasure – demonstrating that insects aren’t the only things at camp that sting?

Trickery

This was awesome. I had not read a book with this setting before and greatly enjoyed it. What starts as an online relationship moves into an in person meeting. However, only Morgan knows as Jackson is unaware of Morgan's double identity as Alyssa. Morgan has a huge heart but makes some poor choices that are quickly dealt with by Jackson. I hope there is a sequel to this. I was given an ARC copy of this book for an honest review

Trickery & Consequence

Making new acquaintances via the internet is nothing new, nor is embellishing and/or falsifying the truth about yourself on-line. There can be, however, consequences for that deceitfulness if and when you actually meet face to face. That is the premise of this new book from Constance Masters. Morgan connects on-line with Jackson who is open/honest enough to admit he has a thing for spanking. While Morgan is intrigued, she is still not ready or trusting enough to reveal any true details about herself. Instead she sends him a phony picture of herself, which he recognizes as such and breaks off the contact. She then conspires to attend a teen-agers camp that Jackson is working at in order to see him and learn more about him. There are lots of shenanigans at camp, as there are in real life, which lead to unexpected and painful consequences for Morgan. The plot is well developed, the pace is fast and the discipline is appropriate. There is even an erotic spanking and romantic, first time, sex scene. I give this book 4 stars. I received this book, as an advance review copy, from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Lying and trickery will only get you one thing, spanked.

This was a fun, quick, summer read. Morgan and Jackson have had an online relationship for awhile. He's ready to take it to the next level, but she's still nervous. She gives him a fake identity, which he sees right through. In order to scope out Jackson, she pretends to be a teen going to the camp he will be running. There is only one way to handle her trickiness and lying. I really like this story, but I do feel it ended a little abruptly. I was given an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Cute story

Thought this was a cute story. Morgan and Jackson have been talking online for months. Jackson wants to move to the next step by meeting in person but Morgan is too afraid of the potential rejection. She lies about what she looks like and so Jackson cuts her of for the summer. Morgan takes matters into her own hands by pretending to be a kid at the summer camp he is running.
