I recieved an ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. The positive: there was comedy, suspense, mystery, romance and lots of spanking!! The characters were likeable and interesting. The negative: I wish there would have been a little more romance. The romantic relationship seemed to take a backseat to the rest of the story. Overall I would recommend this book if you enjoy a good spanking romance.

Great Start to the Series

Jessica doesn't trust men, however Kendrick is determined to change that, and make her his. This is a great beginning to the Windy City series. I really enjoyed this story, which was well written and did a great job of introducing us to the characters of the series. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn\\'t put this one down once I started it. Another huge score for Brandy Golden. Voodoo in the Bayou has everything I want in literary entertainment. A well written book including suspense, mystery, intrigue, romance, a sexy little spitfire who can\\'t seem to do as she is told and a handsome well built man who knows how to remedy that problem as often as necessary makes a five star hit every time. I was given an ARC copy by the publisher for an honest review and I honestly LOVE this book.

We all need someone to believe in us.

Jessica is used to taking care of herself and her heart. She is smart and talented, works twice as hard at her job than her boss does. She has never had anyone who supported her. She no longer believes in relationships. She isn’t looking for love, she no longer believes in it.

Royce walks into her life and is immediately attracted to her. He is respectful, patient and a Dominant, he doesn’t just play with BDSM, it is a way of life for him. When he first gives her instructions and she follows without question, he sees that she is a natural submissive. He takes his time, pushes her limits, creates a desire in her like she has never felt before and opens her up to a world where honesty, respect, communication and consequences are paramount. She keeps him at arm’s length in an effort to protect herself and her heart. Royce is patient and no matter how often she tries to push him away, he is there.

This is a great book (and series) for anyone curious about the lifestyle. The detail the Author uses to allow Royce to get Jessica to open up mentally, physically in emotionally is very well developed.
