I thought the book was very well written. It's true that it is very short for the price and is a concept that has been around for a long time. However, the author has tweaked this idea to fit a plan that is different from what has been written before. I do think that the book could have gone more in depth and given more insights along with alternatives. All in all the information was good if each couple takes what will fit them and leave anything that doesn't However, I did not think there was enough information to justify the price. This should probably be selling for 3.95 or so.

I agree with WH. If this is the author’s idea of a loving and caring marriage based on respect and cherishment, I feel sorry for his wife. The punishments and ‘lessons’ are way too severe and unwarranted. This book has extreme subject matter and components that are more BDSM or Master/slave.

My wife and I read this book and found it to be very educational and helpful. The spanking sessions are very hard to do, but they proved to be very beneficial for us. We feel the author did a good job explaining things and his outlines for boot camp were very clear. We had quite a pleasant boot camp experience and our marriage is better because of it. After reading the other reviews, my wife and I looked into this information around the internet and found nothing that resembled it. We did a rather extensive search, but maybe we're missing something? The book is overpriced, but we don't regret making the purchase. A good, easy read.

Read this, but must admit I had a hard time getting through it. I was looking for some new and useful knowledge of this lifestyle. However, I cant say I found much if anything at all. All I can say is if this is this authors view of something meant to be loving and helpful to a marriage, then I feel sorry for his wife. His punishments and 'lessons' are harsh and unnecessary. I asked my husband to read it, mainly for the male opinion. He was very disappointed that CDD or LDD was given such a bad name. We both felt this book extreme and contained elements more fitting to BDSM than DD. I am now wondering if the author has more of a slave type relationship with his spouse. If so, I think he should have stated this upfront.

I have many issues with this book: 1) The price – this book is extremely overpriced for the material written. This is really a very short pamphlet and most of the information can be viewed on the internet (w/o the fees). 2) The philosophies – the writing in this book has no really learning. It has training for the wife but no learning or physiological insight to what the true benefits to the lifestyle. It reads more of subjugate training for Stockholm Syndrome. 3) The models – there is a true cruelty in the information. This training can be up to a week with multiple harsh/brutal thrashings per day for the length of the training, plus there are many written tests to be filled out. While the wife has to be is being forced to perform her regular daily tasks, she is being conditioned with physical and mental punishment. 4) The author? – after reading so of the other reviews, I wonder the intent of the writer. I don’t sense the writer has the couple in mind with the writing. It reads more like a way to attracted factions.

Very harsh book. I’m not feeling any love for the poor sub in this book (which is VERY overpriced and could have been a pamphlet). The content is all about training and BDSM elements to extreme submission, where the wife has no rights, opinions and is made to feel like chattel. There’s no information on how the dom can improve. VERY one sided and misleading. This is not DD this is sub training for master/slave or BDSM. Definitely not what the title suggests.

This book is a scam (it was written by someone else and free on the internet for several years), with only slave training for the women (no advice for man improvements), and not from any loving place on earth (only slave/obedience training for the women).

I should have been tipped off about how this book would be written, and the personality of the author, when I read the book description. Then, I found that this book's material can be found for FREE in a number of locations, and that DD boot camp is NOT a concept created by this author. Evidentially, it was popular about 7 years ago and was circulated around the Internet. I feel so cheated and I want to warn other people so that they are not cheated. A very disappointing missive with all the emphasis on training and improving what seems to be perceived as a 'faulty' submissive, though a series of preset 'lessons' and a proliferation of unwarranted spankings. This is definitly an interestign take on the how to start having a D/D lifestyle and how to incorporate it in your every day life. Some parts are definitly not fo rthe faint of heart but overal it is a good book.

My husband and I have both read this book and found it so helpful that we used it to modify a boot camp to fit our own needs. It has the tools to build a couple's intimacy, communication, strength roles and responsibilities. We would recommend this to anyone who is interested in this type of DD lifestyle for their relationship. P.S Carolina Spanked has no basis to make such libelous comments, but is free to express an opinion.

I will never buy another book from Blushing. Everyone knows the author is a shameless scam artist. Blushing needs to do their homework before selling something so poorly written, by an inexperienced writer who found all the information free online then sold it to unsuspecting new people who then panned it. Read the reviews on Amazon! A plagiarizer for profit. Shame on Blushing Books.

My husband and I have read and further studied certain sections of this book. Of greatest interest to us was using the catalyst of topics covered to findi better communication between us and we found that helpful. There is a strong reliance on spankings in multiplest that honestly seems over the top for us. However, this being said we both would recomend this book to couples that use spanking as part of their adult coupling relationship.
