This is a nice long spanking novel. Not only is there great character development for the main characters, but I really enjoyed the secondary characters as well. There are quite a few steamy scenes in this one, including threesomes. Of course it ends in a happily ever after for George and Lindsay. Some very well written spanking scenes.

Probably the best spanking story I've read from this site. It was actually better than I expected it to be. Lots of delicious, well earned spankings and anal play - but nothing over the top or forced. The characters are all very well developed, the plot moves nicely without feeling rushed, and there's a cute love story amidst all the spankings.

Very good story with some truly great characters that really shine and a plot that really flowed and made you want to keep reading right until the bitter end. The spanking scenes were great and definitly fit into the story perfectly. Really great read.

The story has been done before, but the ins and outs of this one make it a much better read. As George fights his attraction to Lindsay, the spankings become more intense. As Lindsay becomes dependent on George, her inclination to self-destruct blossoms. The editor framed the whole thing beautifully. It's well written. A side note to Old Tom. If you'd truly read carefully, you'd have read that George did know her occupation. He just didn't see the relevance of it. No biggie.

I enjoyed this book but the storyline regarding the coworker and her husband really seemed out of place and awkward. In fact, it was a distraction and but for that, I would have given it 5 stars.

I really liked this story. The spanking was very good and explored the complex emotions that can go with it. But I also liked the tension between the main character having to choose between getting a story for her boss or keeping quiet and getting the help she realised she needed. The characters were well developed and I always like to see minor relationships well rounded, which they were here, ie the relationship between the main character and her boss' secretary. I would thoroughly recommend this - it's effectively a domestic discipline story but with a wider setting. Great!

Stupid premise--her boss sends her to a financial advisor and the advisor's secret to financial success is spanking his clients--DUMB--sorta sophomoric. Cannot recommend. I didn't even find it erotic.

Financial Discipline, a wonderful tale of finding someone to help clear your financial debt. Maybe not quite how you wanted him to help, but he definitely gets his point across, to all his clients. A wonderful squirmy tale.

This is a great read with all of Carole Archer's bells and whistles! So, in that case read the disclaimer, if all that naughty, hot stuff offends, well, too bad for you. This is a progression story of a gal with a messy, stressful life and the stages, steps and spankings used to clean it up and calm it down. Sorta. I mean then she has time and energy to devote to kinky, hot encounters. Oh, yeah!

This is a great story with lots of spankings thaat were well deserved as well as fun to read about. The characters were well developed and interesting and the plot was interesting and kept the reader wanting to find out what other trouble Lindsay would find herself in.

I give Financial Discipline by Carole Archer 5 stars. I had difficulty with a few plot details, but I read the whole thing in one long sitting. It was such an enjoyable story, I just couldn’t put it down! Since the book is fairly long (about 237 pages / 59,300 words), its page-turning quality is worth 5 stars. Our heroine, 34-year-old Lindsay, is a newspaper reporter. (It’s a romance; of course she’s unmarried.) Her boss the editor sends her to an accountant, George, who is reputed to spank his clients to keep them motivated and on track. He says this is an undercover investigation. Since I recently read The Plume series by Ella Ardent, I found this part of the story predictable (reporter gets spanked and caught up in the fantasy). The thing which most bothered me about the plot is that a newspaper reporter is going to a credit counselor, disclosing her bills, bank account, etc., yet her occupation as a reporter is never noticed by the credit counselor George. This whole aspect did turn out to be a major plot element, so I’ll have to accept how the author handled it. This story included an awful lot of spankings. They were all plausible and fun to observe. No doubt that would have something to do with the book being such a page-turner! I felt that the scenes involving a cane were incorrectly described, but that did not detract from the story. After all, I wasn’t there; I was just enjoying watching things unfold. Since the story IS a romance, you won’t have trouble predicting the nature of its happy ending. As with all Blushing Books publications, the editing and grammar is of the very highest professional standard. For me, that’s a huge contributor to a pleasant read.
