Please make the reviews useful to other readers. Your reviews get read by them, and by the authors. So make sure they're respectful and honest and don't be afraid of detail, but make sure your comments make sense and relate to the story

A good review might look like this (it doesn't always have to be positive, this is just an example of what we'd like to see): "This story wasn't anything like I expected! It had a lot of action, great dialogue, was funny and cute, but the romance throughout was consistent, original and clever. My only problem with this story was that I thought the spankings were a little too severe for the story matter, which is why I'm only giving it 4/5."

A review that's not helpful that we won't want to refund you for might look like this:
"This was good." (And that's it with no description of why it was good.)
Or "This book seems like something my sister would like." (And that's all, with no discription on why it would be something a friend of yours or a sister would enjoy.)

I made a review about your book on another site... Can I get a reward for that?

Unfortunately, we have had to discontinue our previous policy of giving rewards for off site reviews. You are still welcome to do so and we sincerely hope you do - it helps Blushing and our authors. But we have learned that any payment at all (even something as small as a $1.00 Blushing Books credit) violates the review policies on several major vendors, which do NOT allow anyone to be compensated in any way for giving reviews. We are allowed to give free ARC (Advance Review Copies) of books and those readers CAN leave reviews as long as they disclose they are doing so after having received an ARC. If you'd like to be put on our ARC list, please contact stephiealan@blushingbooks.com.

Can I publish my review in more than one place word-for-word?

Again, major vendors like Amazon and Barnes and Noble do not require that you be a verified purchaser at their site in order to leave reviews. If you bought the book on Blushing, you can leave a review offsite. We encourage you to leave reviews for your favorite books everywhere that you can... it helps Blushing and our authors! But we cannot offer any compensation for your doing that.
