How will my card be billed?

Your card will be discreetly billed as either ABCD WebMasters (the online version and past name of Blushing Publications) OR ABCD Graphics and Design, not Blushing Publcations (For those who want their billing statement's purchases to be discreet!).

What "BookType" should I buy?

Adobe Acrobat (PDF) is our "default" file format, and probably the format you will buy if you intend to read (and/or print) directly from your computer. (This is the format you SHOULD buy if you are not sure which format to buy!) It is the recommended choice for Macintosh™, Windows™ PC, or Windows Tablet. Most internet browsers will even let you view PDFs from right within your browser. Our PDFs are not protected by DRM (digital rights management) and you can print them, adjust the font size, etc. They are, however, formatted to print on 8.5 x 11 pages. MS Reader (LIT) is the recommended choice for Pocket™ PC or if you want to read on both your Windows™ PC and Pocket™ PC. You can download MS Reader here.

Mobipocket (MOBI) is the recommended choice for Kindle, Windows™ CE, Handheld PC, Palm OS™ device, Pocket™ PC or an EPOC™ device. You can download Mobipocket here.

Palm DOC/iSolo (PDB) is the recommended choice for all devices that are Palm compatible.

Sony Format (LRF) is the recommended choice for Sony eBooks, also knowns as the BBeB (BroadBand eBook).

Open eBook (EPUB) is the recommended choice for iPhone/iPod Touch users, and several newer eBook models will read this format as well. This format can also be read by the Nook. You can download Stanza, which will allow you to reach eBooks on your desktop (MAC or PC), iPhone, or iPod touch here.

If you want a reader that will read any and all of these formats, as well as manage your eBook collection, we recommend Calibre (go here to view). It's constantly being updated and it's as good as FREE can possibly be. It's also downloadable for Linux, Macs (OS X), and PCs (Windows).

Books in Print: Not all of our titles are available in print. ALL books in print will give that as an option in the pull down menu. If your book lists PRINT BOOK (Add $8.00) , then the title is available for an $8.00 surcharge over the eBook price. You can order both print books and eBooks on the same order, and the eBooks will be delievered instantly, while the print book will be shipped to you. Then for an extra $8 on top of the eBook price, you will be able to buy a print book to have shipped to your shipping address. For US Domestic shipping, the price does not include shipping. A flat rate of $4.95 will be charged for shipping in the US. If you are shipping to overseas, then you will be charged an extra 9.95 for your entire order to pay for the additional shipping costs. (So - overseas customers - please make careful note of this. The shipping charge is $9.95 whether you order one book or ten. So if you are ordering a print edition, it is in your best interest to order several books at a time.)

Please also be aware that different models of different devices may have different specifications. (For example, higher priced Kindles will read .pdfs, while lower priced versions will not.) While we will try to help you, it is primarily the customer's responsibility to know what format you should be buying for your reading device. To repeat: If you intend to read/print solely from your computer, you will likely be buying the pdf version.

How does it work?

After your order is confirmed (typically less than 20 seconds), you will receive a receipt which will open automatically in your browser. It will contain a link to your ACCOUNT. You might have to re-login, but it will normally take you right there. You will see a few tabs, one labeled "DOWNLOADS". After that, you'll see your purchases right there in your "personal library." You can access them and redownload them any time and as much as you'd like.

I paid for my stories--now where do I download them?

Sign into your account if you have not done so already. In "YOUR ACCOUNT" you will find a tab that says "Downloads." There, you will see all the stories you bought and have access to unlimited downloads of your product just by clicking the "download" link next to your title. We suggest "Saving" the download to your hardrive, but you can always "Open" and view it immediately. Contact us if you have any trouble.

Can I send stories to my e-Book reading device? If so, how?

Yes you can. You have to buy the story in the format that your e-reader requires (see the list above). When purchased, go to your "ACCOUNT", then go under the "DOWNLOADS" tab, and you'll see a little box just big enough for an email address next to the 'Send' button. Type the email address of your device and hit "Send." Easy as that.

Please be aware that some devices (such as the Amazon Kindle) will charge you an extra fee for email delievery. Typically these fees are very small, but your Blushing Books purchase price does NOT include any additional fees. Please check your device's terms of service for more information.

What if I don't have a device email? Can I still upload the story to my device?

There is typically a way to get your story on your device by first saving it on your harddrive and then uploading it to your device manually. It's a good way to avoid extra charges!

Under the "Downloads" tab will be a button that says "download" next to your story. Click the button and SAVE it to your computer. After that, follow the instructions provided to you by your eBook devices' company about uploading stories to your device (sometimes it's as simple as sending it to your own email address and then just opening your email on your handheld device!). Here's a couple common ones:

(You will also receive a "back up receipt" via email which will contain your account information necessary to get to your downloads, so please give us a valid email.) Very important: All downloads must be done through your account, and so you will be asked to make one before completing your first purchase. Make sure you provide us with a real email address; that is where your confirmation for making the account will go, as will all of your receipts. This page might also not work well for older browsers, such as IE 6.

Does this work on all computers? PCs and Macs? Older operating systems? AOL? Do I need SPECIAL SOFTWARE?

You may need a special viewing program to read our files, but most of the reading-devices out there are free for download:

For PDFs we mostly recomend downloading a free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. It's very, very important to have on a computer since SO many sites currently convey information through PDF documents. They're easy to read and easy to print, and it's totally worth having. Download the latest version for free HERE (http://get.adobe.com/reader/). Virtually every computer sold in the last 2-3 years will come with this software pre-installed.
